The AIIDE 2016 committee invites proposals for one to two day workshops to be held on October 8-9. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with a selected focus — providing an informal setting for active exchange among researchers, developers, and users on topics of current interest.
Members of all segments of the AI in Interactive Digital Entertainment community as well as industry researchers are encouraged to submit proposals. In addition, we encourage workshops related to topics in Motion in Games, especially those that explore the intersection of the two communities.
The format of workshops will be determined by their organizers. Organizers are highly encouraged to propose alternative formats beyond paper/poster presentations, and should encourage the submission and presentation of position papers that discuss new research ideas. Workshop papers will be published as technical reports and will be archived in the AAAI digital library.
Proposals for workshops should be about two (2) to three (3) pages in length, including the following information:
- A brief technical description of the workshop, specifying the workshop goals and the issues that will be its focus. Information concerning whether this this workshop is a continuation of a previous workshop.
- A preliminary workshop format and a proposed schedule for organizing the workshop, including desired length for the workshop.
- The names, affiliation and contact information of the proposed workshop organizing committee.
- The primary contact for the organizing committee.
Workshop chairs must submit their proposals via email to the workshop chair, Jichen Zhu, jichen.zhu (AT) gmail (DOT) com, by May 15, 2016.
