A charity debate organized by a Hancock College student group will shine some light on the misunderstood field of artificial intelligence, all while raising funds for youth-oriented technology and engineering programs.
Organized by the Hancock College Science and Engineering Club, Foaad Khosmood and Maria Pantoja, assistant professors in the computer science department at Cal Poly, will take to the Marian Theater stage at 7 p.m. Thursday for "The Artificial Intelligence Debate." Through informed arguments and rational inquiry, the professors will examine how advances to the budding field could transform the professional workplace and everyday living.
